Chrome OS and the Cloud

Chrome OS was originally pitched as a netbook operating system. Now, Google is rumored to be releasing a Android iPad competitor. That makes more sense. Android has Apps. Chrome is a browser. Chrome OS makes more sense as a thin client operating system for shared pcs or terminals with permanent connectivity.

I could have a Chrome OS device in my kitchen to read recipes. For any device that might be disconnected from the cloud, I want Android.
